Full Bleed Vs Bordered. What's Right For YOU?

Full Bleed Vs Bordered. What's Right For YOU?

First of all what do we mean by Full Bleed and Bordered Prints? In easy terms full bleed or borderless is an image that extends to the edges of the paper. These are our default option and are great if you'll be framing it without a mount or your design or photography is meant to fill the entire page. I often choose this option as I want to see my image as big as possible!

Bordered prints on the other hand are prints that include a white margin around the image. We set this to an equal white margin around the image which sometimes ends up cropping the image slightly in order to keep the edges the same distance apart from the image. This version is ideal if you plan to frame the print with a mount, or want that clean, gallery style look.

Now what option is right for YOU? Well here are some easy ways to decide.

Choose bordered if you're unsure of how you're thinking of framing it, framing with a mount, or want that classic fine art look represented in the image.

Choose to have a full bleed if you're framing without a mount, you want maximum image impact or simply if it was designed for full bleed (such as posters and graphic art!)
